Spin finish dosing pumps do not only meter preparation fluids. They can also be used for the consistent dosing of water, perfume or even oils.
There are almost no limits to the use as a dosing pump in various industries. As a spinning pump it is only used for special applications.
Predominantly used in spinning and adhesives technology, they offer the possibility of realizing two flow rates with minimal space and one motor drive only.

Mahr Drum Metering Pumps are designed for precise metering of products with varying viscosities, from thin to thick. Each system uses a gear metering pump, force-fed by a patented impeller design, ensuring metering accuracy of ±1%. The impeller helps minimize cavitation within the pump. The platen rides on the product surface, descending to the bottom of the barrel, and can be heated. A rubber gasket on the platen ensures complete cleaning of the container sides. Mahr Drum Pumps also prevent product contamination from air, gas, and moisture.

With a Mahr drum pump, no feed pump is required, as it is mounted to a pressurized platen, eliminating the need for costly additional equipment. The drum metering pump provides high accuracy, with or without additional controls.

Complete metering systems are available, including recirculation loops, flow meter readouts, PLC controls, data logging, touch screen interfaces, and mixing systems.
All products are metered and continuously flow-monitored in recirculation mode, ensuring readiness for metered or continuous dispensing on demand. The recirculation valves switch seamlessly to dispensing mode, enabling immediate delivery to the downstream process.
